We have the desire to know our Lord more. But what should we do to know Him more?
What efforts you take to know more about your spouse, friend, co-worker, or any one who is associated with you? You communicate - yes it is as simple as that. You just speak to them and it does not cost you much. Even it will cost you, you make it a point that you don't loose that relationship and so you do your best to keep in constant touch with that person.
But when it comes to God, is this principal of communicating applicable? Yes it is. Coz He speaks to you and He expects you to respond. How does he communicate? Through His word. We spend so much time and money in developing and maintaining a worldly relationship that will soon perish. Why do We do this because we value the person and the relationship, but do we take the same effort to maintain our relationship with God and to know Him more?
Only if you will know a person you will communicate and only when you know them more you will be able to continue a healthy relationship with them. Now let us examine, how is our relationship with God? Is it a hi-bye relationship or you take every effort to spend time with your Creator and Master of your life?
