Whom do you seek for guidance?

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you" (Psalm 32:8)

Every human will come across a day in life where he/she will stand on the road of dilemma, looking for someone to guide them on which path to take. But as Christians, whom do we seek for guidance? Coz you will have to pay the ransom your whole life for the path you choose.

My personal opinion is to rely on God and Godly people. Because in the BIBLE both in the Old and New testaments God guided HIS in many ways. But people who relied on pagan Gods were loosers all through their lives.

Here are 3 ways through which i've got God's guidance in my life.

Prayer: A simple child like prayer will help you get HIS divine and lovely guidance. You say "Lord i give this matter in your hands, i need your counsel, please help me take the right decision. Let your name be glorified through me. And that is all, you will feel a heavenly peace in your heart and automatically see the right doors being opened.

Word of God: Sometimes you will not immediately get the answer for your prayers, so you will have to sit and read the word of GOD and He will speak to your heart. I have experienced this many times in my life. David said "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

Prophetic prayer: You should be very careful in this area. You should ask the Holy spirit for His help to discern false prophets. When God shows you the right prophet, you can get prayed and receive Godly counseling as well. A glance through the several books of the Old Testament would quickly suggest that God used various and several modes and one such mode of divine communication was through HIS Prophets.

Fasting and prayer: For certain things God would want you to stay in His presence and wait for HIS answer, then you go on a fasting and prayer.
