DO YOU KNOW HIM?

We have the desire to know our Lord more. But what should we do to know Him more?

What efforts you take to know more about your spouse, friend, co-worker, or any one who is associated with you? You communicate - yes it is as simple as that. You just speak to them and it does not cost you much. Even it will cost you, you make it a point that you don't loose that relationship and so you do your best to keep in constant touch with that person.

But when it comes to God, is this principal of communicating applicable? Yes it is. Coz He speaks to you and He expects you to respond. How does he communicate? Through His word. We spend so much time and money in developing and maintaining a worldly relationship that will soon perish. Why do We do this because we value the person and the relationship, but do we take the same effort to maintain our relationship with God and to know Him more?

Only if you will know a person you will communicate and only when you know them more you will be able to continue a healthy relationship with them. Now let us examine, how is our relationship with God? Is it a hi-bye relationship or you take every effort to spend time with your Creator and Master of your life?

Do we givee lame excuses; am a busy titan and so there is no time for God? Please share your views.

What do you learn from difficulties?

I am in awe of what the Lord has done, is doing in my life. While writing the blog i am reminded of this beautiful song:
The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice

He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

This is one of my favorite worship song. Tears roll down my cheek when i turn back & see the path that i had walked. I had to walk through both good and rugged roads, but my unchanging Jesus was with me, who had brought me thus for and will continue to lead me.

What do troubles and trials teach you? God tries to teach us many things but here i would like to putforth the most significant things that i had to learn when i walked through pain and sorrow; HE teaches us to TRUST Him, OBEY Him, FORGIVE others, through trials He also helps you DEVELOP Godly characters in you, that would benefit you and others, He wants to SHAPE you and MOLD you to a person who will glorify HIS name on this earth.

So does God want you to be tempted over and over again and does He want you to stay in the pit where you are? Absolutely not. The word of God clearly says in I Corianthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

I have come across many such trials in my life and finally i have also realized that it was all for my good. For God says "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

MOSES: GOD'S PRECIOUS INSTRUMENT

Who was this Moses?

Moses was an Israelite, a Hebrew, born into the tribe of Levi one of the twelve tribes of Israel.

On the time of Mose's birth the Israelite people were serving the nation of Egypt. Seeing that the Hebrew nation was growing significantly in number, Pharaoh the ruler of Egypt issued a decree that all Israelite male children should be killed. But the Bible says that the Hebrew midwives feared the Lord and did their best to save the the boy children that were born to the Israelite women.

In this scenario Moses's mother could not hide him anymore so she made a basket and placed baby Moses in it and made the basket float in the Nile river. The basket was found by Pharoh's daughter and he was nurtured by her.

So, how did he became the liberator of God's people? How did he accept the role of leading a nation to the promised land? It was God's calling.

Now when the Lord spoke to Moses in Egypt, 29 he said to him, “I am the Lord. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.” 30But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?” Here we see that Moses was trying to ignore God' calling due to the weakness he had. But we also see that God's strength compensated his weakness. Even though Moses gave numerous excuses as to why he was not fit for the job, the Lord called him to be the liberator of His people. Let us examine, are we hesitating to the will of God showing our weaknesses' as excuse?

"Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother will be your prophet. 2You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country.
Here we see that the Lors helps Moses to accomplish to what he we called. He did not leave Moses helpless, instead He gave him the provision to fulfill the task given. Do we reply on God and allow Him to demonstrate HIS power?

Moses in spite of his weaknesses played the roles of a leader, mediator, scholar, deliverer. All this was possible for Moses was only because of the power of God that over shadowed his weaknesses.

God bless!

HEART OF A CHILD!

"I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like one of these children is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:4

There is so much to discuss about this verse.

When you look at the verses of the Bible that tell us to be like children, you can see that this commandment has nothing to do with becoming immature, but has everything to do with lessening our self-importance to magnify our reliance on our Father for everything.

We need to rely on Him for our every need, from our desires to very lives! As we rely on our Father for our wants and our needs, we will find that we are never disappointed. Our needs are met, each and every one. Our wants are also met, for the things we want cease to be the material things and the lusts of our hearts, but we crave the discipline, the relationship, the growth and the security that come from a close bond with our Father.

In my own experience i have tasted the Lord's love in many ways. From my childhood my mother taught me to rely on God for everything. Everything means everything. As a kid i used to ask my parents for toys, chocolates etc etc. But my mom will say only one word "pray" the Lord will provide. So with all innocence i will pray and wait for something to happen. And finally i would receive what i asked.

It was the simple faith, trust in the God unseen and a simple prayer from a humble heart was all that was needed for me to get what i desired. But do i have the same level of faith and trust in God now? Am i ready to surrender my dreams and wishes to HIM, the sovereign Lord? Am i patient enough to pray and wait for HIM to answer? But these are the things the Lord will except from me even when i am 80 years old. He will except me to be like a child at heart.

Whom do you seek for guidance?

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you" (Psalm 32:8)

Every human will come across a day in life where he/she will stand on the road of dilemma, looking for someone to guide them on which path to take. But as Christians, whom do we seek for guidance? Coz you will have to pay the ransom your whole life for the path you choose.

My personal opinion is to rely on God and Godly people. Because in the BIBLE both in the Old and New testaments God guided HIS in many ways. But people who relied on pagan Gods were loosers all through their lives.

Here are 3 ways through which i've got God's guidance in my life.

Prayer: A simple child like prayer will help you get HIS divine and lovely guidance. You say "Lord i give this matter in your hands, i need your counsel, please help me take the right decision. Let your name be glorified through me. And that is all, you will feel a heavenly peace in your heart and automatically see the right doors being opened.

Word of God: Sometimes you will not immediately get the answer for your prayers, so you will have to sit and read the word of GOD and He will speak to your heart. I have experienced this many times in my life. David said "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

Prophetic prayer: You should be very careful in this area. You should ask the Holy spirit for His help to discern false prophets. When God shows you the right prophet, you can get prayed and receive Godly counseling as well.
A glance through the several books of the Old Testament would quickly suggest that God used various and several modes and one such mode of divine communication was through HIS Prophets.

Fasting and prayer: For certain things God would want you to stay in His presence and wait for HIS answer, then you go on a fasting and prayer.
